KUMAR SAMBHAV GUPTA is an Indian Australian DOP / Director based out of SYDNEY Australia.
Having made an extraordinary transition from IT to filmmaking in 2020, Kumar has since emerged as a versatile force behind the lens. He has contributed his skills to a myriad of films and television shows, serving in diverse roles such as Director of Photography (DOP), Director, Colour Grader, Gaffer, Assistant Camera (AC), and even Production Secretary. In 2023, Kumar graduated from the BA: Film Production program at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS), where he honed his craft with a focus on Cinematography, Directing, and Sound Design.
One of Kumar’s standout projects, a graduation short film titled "Paper Daisies," earned him the prestigious State Bronze at the Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS) awards in 2023. Kumar's distinct style and unwavering commitment to creating impactful visuals enable him to approach each production with a meticulous eye and an unflaggingly positive attitude, regardless of the challenges or budget constraints presented.
Looking ahead, Kumar is fervently keen on embracing all the upcoming projects in the years to come, driven by a continuous desire to innovate and inspire through his work in the film industry.
